Recorder changed back
I’ve just changed the Voxopop recording page back to the previous version, as many of you were having problems with the new one. So things should be back to “normal” now. For those who were having problems with the original version (mainly Mac OSX 10.6 users), you will find a link to an alternative version of the recording page that should work on your system.
I’ll be investigating to find a solution that works for everyone.

Updated recording component
I’ve recently updated the recording component on Voxopop to address compatibility issues with Mac computers. If you were having problems, please try again.
People are now using the new recorder just fine, but if you now begin having problems recording now, please send me a direct message by using the last link on our contact page. I’ll need to know:
- Browser version you are using
- Computer operating system (e.g. PC or Mac) and version
- What is happening exactly when you try and record (e.g. Do you get an error message? Is the problem when you record or when you save?)
If you don’t provide the above information, I won’t be able to help.

The old make a change in one place, create a bug elsewhere trick
Sorry if you had problems accessing talkgroups over the past day or so. I made a change to how the invitation mechanism works in private and restricted talkgroups, which brought a bug into the system.
Note to self: do more testing before updating the site next time!

Expired java applet certificate - fixed
When recording on Voxopop lately, users may have had a browser alert saying that the certificate for the Java applet had expired.
This is all fixed now. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Recording back after downtime
Users weren’t able to save their audio for about an hour. The issue has now been fixed.
If you were one of those affected, I do apologise.
